Abstract

Employee resilience is a crucial capability for organizations in facing uncertainty, crises, and increasingly dynamic changes in the work environment, especially in the post-COVID-19 pandemic era. Various studies show that leadership plays a strategic role in building and strengthening employee resilience through psychological and organizational mechanisms. This study aims to analyze the role of leadership in improving employee resilience and examine the psychological mechanisms and organizational climate underlying this relationship. This study uses a literature review approach to reputable scientific articles to synthesize empirical findings on the relationship between leadership and employee resilience. The literature reviewed covers various leadership styles, including servant, authentic, inclusive, constructive, and humble leadership. The results of the literature review show that leadership oriented towards values, authenticity, inclusiveness, and psychological support has a positive and consistent effect on employee resilience. This relationship is reinforced by factors such as organizational identification, trust, flow, and a supportive organizational climate. Furthermore, employee resilience has been shown to contribute to work engagement, adaptive performance, well-being, and extra-role behavior. These findings contribute theoretically to the development of leadership and employee resilience literature and have practical implications for the development of leadership oriented toward strengthening employees' psychological resources.
