The version of record is never changed silently. Where a published article needs to be corrected or withdrawn, Jurnal Maksipreneur: Manajemen, Koperasi, dan Entrepreneurship (JMP) issues a public notice with its own DOI, linked in both directions to the article, and reports the change to Crossref and to indexing services.
| Notice | When it is used |
|---|---|
| Erratum | A significant error introduced by the journal during copyediting, layout, or publication: a wrong author name or affiliation, a misplaced figure or table, incorrect metadata. |
| Corrigendum | A significant error made by the authors that affects the record but does not invalidate the main findings: an incorrect figure, table, value, or reference, or an omitted funding source or conflict of interest. Minor typographical and formatting errors normally receive no notice. |
| Authorship change | Addition, removal, or reordering of authors after publication, handled as a corrigendum and requiring reasons, written agreement from all affected authors, and a CRediT statement. |
| Expression of concern | Serious doubts about an article where the evidence is not yet conclusive, the institution declines to investigate, or an investigation is continuing. It states the concern without reaching a conclusion. |
| Retraction | Findings that are unreliable through major error or misconduct; plagiarism; duplicate publication; unethical research or unauthorised use of data; compromised peer review; or an undisclosed conflict of interest that undermines the work. |
| Retraction with replacement | An honest error invalidates the conclusions but a corrected, valid version can be published. Both the retraction notice and the replacement article are published and linked. |
| Removal | Exceptional cases only: defamation, infringement of legal rights, a court order, or a serious risk to health or safety. The full text is removed while the title, authors, DOI, and an explanatory notice remain. |
Every change goes through a formal notice; corrections aim to repair the literature rather than to punish authors; honest error is distinguished from misconduct; authors are consulted but the editors decide; and notices are public, permanent, and citable.
A published article cannot be withdrawn; it can only be corrected or retracted through these procedures. Readers see a label on the article page, with a link to the notice and the article's publication history. Authors cannot upload corrected files themselves. The journal charges nothing for a correction or a retraction.
