Analisis Cacat Pada Produksi Kain Jumputan Menggunakan Pendekatan Six Sigma: Studi Kasus Pada UMKM Wiyah Mulyadi Collections

This study was conducted to identify the level of product defects and evaluate the quality performance of the jumputan fabric production process at Wiyah Mulyadi Collections MSME by applying the Six Sigma method through the DMAIC stages, namely Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control. The research was carried out over a 30-day observation period in October 2025 using production data and defect data obtained through observation and daily recording. The types of defects analyzed included damaged or torn fabric, uneven color, color fading, unclear patterns, asymmetrical motifs, and stains or color spots. The analytical methods used included p-control chart (p-chart), Defects Per Million Opportunities (DPMO) and sigma level calculations, Pareto diagram, cause-and-effect (fishbone) diagram, process capability analysis using Cp and Cpk, as well as R-control chart (R-chart). The results showed that the production process was statistically under control, with a DPMO value of 1,241.43 and a sigma level of 4.512. However, the Cp value of 0.52 and Cpk value of 0.35 indicated that the process capability was still low, highlighting the need for continuous improvement in human factors, work methods, raw materials, and the production environment.
