RELEVANSI ANTARA PELAKSANAAN CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR) DENGAN KEBERLANJUTAN SUATU PERUSAHAAN
Abstract
Companies should do business not only to get profitability but more than that, namely sustainability, which will determine the future of a company. That goal can be achieved, one with implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The company sustainability will only be guaranteed if the company noticed the social and environmental dimensions, where the CSR program and the company is committed to behave ethically and contribute positively to its employees, communities, and the surrounding environment, as well as the wider community.
The substance of the existence of CSR is in order to strengthen the sustainability of the company by building cooperation among stakeholders that facilitated by the company, by arranging community development programs. Sustainable CSR program is expected to help create life in the society more prosperous and independent. CSR will ultimately benefit the company. But, of course, the company is not expected to obtain short-term financial rewards, when they implement CSR strategies. In addition, CSR can actually be viewed as a future investment for a company. In a critical environmental consumer society, CSR can create a brand image (positive image) of a company.
