HUBUNGAN GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN TRANSFORMASIONAL DAN TRANSAKSIONAL TERHADAP EFEKTIVITAS KINERJA KARYAWAN PERGURUAN TINGGI SWASTA DIY
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to find the relationship or connection between the transformational and transactional leadership style towards the effectivity of the private university employees performance. This research use quantitative methods along with data collecting by scale. The subject of this research was middle management staff in private Universities in DIY. Data analysis technique that was used is the statistical analysis with multiple regression. The submitted hypothesis was focused on the possibility of positif relationship between transformational and transactional leadership style towards the performance of employees in private Universities in Yogyakarta. The result showed the coefficient of correlation of R=0,723 with significance degree of p=0,001 (p< 0,01). This indicate that there was a significant connection between transformational and transactional leadership style with the effectivity of employees performance in Yogyakarta's private Universities. The effective contribution from transformational and transactional leadership towards performance effectivity of 52,3 %. The contribution of transformational leadership style is bigger than transactional style, so it indicates that the transformational leadership is more influence towards the effectivity of employees performance than transactional.References
