Abstract

Throughout human history, there's always a group of people so concerned about the sustainable use of natural resources, and the group has been practicing natural resource conservation system properly. The practices is usually based on some simple rules but is able to ensure the use of natural resources in the long term. These rules are obtained through a process of trial and error, by continuing the practices that are considered to maintain natural resources, and leave the practices that are considered damaging to the environment (Gadgil and Barker, 1991:136).
